Alternatively, spend sunny afternoons on Praia de Faro, easily reachable via ferry that you can hop on at the sparkling marina, just minutes from your door on foot.

This charming apartment is in the heart of Faro, with a communal pool and a private balcony. Space is limited throuhgout the home, so we recommend packing light, especially if you're planning on shopping trips. If you're travelling as a group of more than four, two guests will sleep on the sofa bed up on the mezzanine, which doubles as the living room. The location is delightfully central though, with Faro's marina and plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance.

Slight Decoration

In the heart of Faro, one of Portugal's best-kept secrets, you’ll have shops, bars, and restaurants aplenty here. And with the marina just a five-minute walk away, this home's location promises a relaxing stay. Nearby beaches are only a short drive from the apartment too. Ideal for those travelling with young families, the kitchen is large and fully equipped for prepping homemade meals, while both bedrooms have access to an adjoining en-suite bathroom. Plus, the charming indoor patio area is perfect for pre-dinner drinks while the children enjoy a quick snooze. 

Faro Reverie

Perched upon a clifftop overlooking Salema Beach, this luxurious villa is spread over three storeys with its own private pool. The views are stunning, with bedrooms on all levels and several balconies for enjoying the sunset with a drink. Downstairs, you'll find a self-contained apartment, ideal for guests wanting some extra privacy. With the golden sands of Salema Beach just 600 metres away, families will love it here. To further elevate your stay, your host can provide a range of extras from private chefs to butlers.

Palm Day

Less than 2 kilometres from Praia dos Alemães, this apartment is well-placed to discover Albufeira. You can walk to restaurants, shops, and bars – and most importantly, one of the Algarve's famous sandy beaches is a short stroll away. There's also a communal swimming pool, a shared garden, and a children's play area to take advantage of back home. The private balcony is the perfect place to watch the sunset and enjoy Portuguese wine. For two people, there's plenty of space inside to unwind. Because it's simple in style, it's ideal for guests who plan to spend most of their time exploring.

Tiles & Stone

A functional home in the centre of Faro, this apartment is a suitable base for families who need a few home comforts while travelling. The balcony and French doors mean you get plenty of sunlight here, although there isn't much of a view. Inside, the interior is homely if unspectacular – but having two bathrooms is a blessing when you're getting ready in the morning, and the fully equipped kitchenette means you don't always need to eat out. That said,  being in the centre of town here, you've got fantastic eateries just a few streets over.

Soft Light

Housed in a historic building in Faro’s centre, you’ll have plenty to see and do with shops, restaurants and boats for beach trips and tours nearby. A communal pool is on hand to ease you into the holiday lifestyle, and while the apartment isn’t the biggest in our collection, it’s spread over two floors with a bedroom on each one. Early risers might be best off in the mezzanine space, however, due to its lack of curtains. But for those looking for a fuss-free coastal stay, this home ticks a lot of boxes.
